MAMA LOVES YOU.
So during the writing process of Dog Island, both of my brothers passed away. I miss them terribly but don’t feel that they are that far away. Now some of you will think I’m crazy, or it’s just coincidence, but they talk to me all the time through signs - actual signs. I can ask them a question - ( I usually do this while driving/ I drive a lot), and I will get a response on a billboard, song lyric, license plate, bumper sticker... it’s pretty nuts, but I love it, and they are very good at it. One day, I asked about Dog Island .. what did they think, should I keep writing it, etc., etc., normal thoughts from my busy mind.
I stopped at a red light, and for some reason, I actually focused on the license plate in front of me. I couldn't help but smile, told my brothers "thank you", and I snapped a photo. It has been on my dash since..not sure who drives this vehicle, but I know who managed to get them on my path that morning.

BIO
I have read that writing a bio about yourself is more difficult than writing a book itself. This is truly...not fiction. But, here we go.
In case you couldn't guess from this fetching webpage, I am a dog lover. I have always been a canine mom, from one to six and anywhere in between. Yes, at least one - hogging my pillow, tugging my covers off my cold feet, or squashing me on the couch. I do not know the last time I ate my last bite of food - it must have been chocolate- thank God they can not eat chocolate. And, I do not... let me repeat ... DO NOT, watch the movie if the dog dies. Just won't. Don't bother asking - Don't invite me over - no amount of popcorn or gummy bears will be enough.
Combine this canine infatuation with a love for writing and Dog Island was an easy conclusion. Originally intended for the younger adult reader, It has grown to a book that adults seem to enjoy as well. It is a perfect combination of canines and chronicles. A way to express genuine concerns for our 4 legged friends in a medium that gives them a voice. And everyone deserves a voice.
In addition to Dog Island and a future sequel, I have written several children's books. Stay tuned for future publishing dates..
